Spice Central brings the classic cooking of India to the heart of Cowes. Our vision was to throw away the traditional Brit-Indian menu and start again from first principles.

Our Chefs took the classic ingredients and methods of cooking that are at the heart of traditional Indian cooking and fused them with a modern culinary sensibility. The result is fresh flavours and aromas that leap off the plate alongside deep, rich masalas where classic ingredients like fenugreek and jeera combine to reinvigorate the most jaded palate.

But we didn’t stop there. Subtlety was needed to properly complement the bold and authentic flavours of our new menu. Delicate touches of, among other things, curry leaf and tempered mustard seed lift our dishes to new heights.

Dishes that demonstrate such a sensitive understanding of India’s ancient culture require a setting of equal sensitivity. Spice Central offers just that, a comfortable, stylish and intimate restaurant where you can properly enjoy the coming together of eastern tradition with modern culinary expertise.

All told, Spice Central is the Indian restaurant that a sailing capital like Cowes has long deserved.
